Pan Huang
(b. 1921 - d. 2002)
Pan Huang was a native of Kaifeng City, Henan Province and his courtesy name was Xing Ruo. He served as the principal of Kaiwen High School in Bintangor, and Kian Hin High School in Sibu, Sarawak, subsequently, he taught at Chung Cheng High School in Sibu.
Pan Huang once published his works in Pan Huang Calligraphy Collection. He learned calligraphy from Fu Yufu, Sun Qifeng and Yu Youren. The characteristics of his brushstrokes were round in wet ink, enveloping its strong lines. Like the moving of clouds and falling of rain, it flows but not soaking wet, giving forth a sense of magnificence and elegance.
